Research Ethics and Consent Review of SOPs and participant-facing materials. How your study or programme handles challenging experiences, therapeutic boundaries and power dynamics, or work with vulnerable populations, deserves careful attention. If you’re developing screening procedures, touch protocols, or safeguarding policies – or want a critical eye on existing ones – I can help. I’ve published extensively in psychedelic ethics, as well as leading an international consensus process on the ethics of the field.
Retreat & Ceremony Settings Ethics audit for retreat and ceremony programmes. Whether you’re establishing a new retreat, refining existing protocols, or preparing for potential regulation, systematic ethical review matters. I’m not in the business of handing out ‘ethical gold stars’ here – the deliverable is a confidential assessment highlighting strengths, identifying risks, and providing concrete recommendations for enhancement. There are two pilot slots remaining at reduced rates in 2026.
Trial Design & IRB/REB/REC Support Critical review of trial protocols before or after IRB feedback. Adverse event management, screening criteria, crisis intervention, facilitator oversight – ethics committees will scrutinise all of it. I can help strengthen your protocol before they do.
Scientific Review & Writing Literature reviews, target indication analysis, scientific sections of reports and applications. My reviews have shaped pipelines, informed policy reports, and found their way into written evidence to the House of Commons. Sometimes you need someone who can read a body of research and tell you what it actually says.
Training & Workshops Workshops, lectures, and bespoke ethics training for clinical teams and practitioner programmes. I am proud to teach on psychedelic ethics for various universities and practitioner training programmes.
